  • Albert Hughes Jr.

    Albert Hughes Jr. (1949-2021) from Kentucky broke the Guinness World Record as the world's oldest boxer at 70 years old in 2019.  He won his last fight by KO against 43-year-old Tramane Towns.  His last fight was his eleventh victory since his boxing career began in 1975.  Hughes was a Sergeant in the United States Army and earned his bachelor’s degree from Ball State University in biology and Natural Resources.

  • Shirley Curry

    Shirley Curry (born in 1936) is the oldest video game YouTuber.  As of this publish date, she has over 964,000 subscribers to her YouTube channel.  She has been dubbed the “Grandma of YouTube” and enjoys playing Skyrim and Fallout 4.  From her notoriety, she was added as a companion character in Skyrim and will be added as a character in the game Elder Scrolls VI.  She started gaming in her early 60s when her son gave her a copy of Sid Meier’s Civilization II. 

  • George Hood

    George Hood (born in 1958) broke the record for the longest plank in 2020 at the age of 62.  He held the plank for 8 hours and 15 minutes in Chicago, IL.  The previous record was held by 45-year-old Mao Weigdong of China, who held a plank for 8 hours and 1 minute in 2016.  Hood is a former Marine and Drug Enforcement Administration agent.  Hood said he trained seven hours a day for about 18 months leading up to the record-breaking event.
