Thomas Lackey (1920-2017) from Shirley, England was the world's oldest person to complete a wing walk when he did so in Northern Ireland in 2013 at the age of 93 years old.  He broke his own record multiple times after first setting it in 2009 at the age of 89.

Thomas Lackey also entered the Guinness World Records after becoming the oldest person to be on top of an aircraft of a loop-the-loop and wing-walk across the English Channel in 2005 at the age of 85.  He first started his hobby of wing walks at the age of 80.

He raised more than £1.5million for charity during his life and always carried a photograph of his beloved wife on every one of his wing walks.
